(Although I would ascribe this terrific reverse in organization to the travel agency - all EO did was call them, and the agency did the rest). We're hitting Cappadochia and Southern Anatolia! Itinerary below. And the first three days are mostly driving. 18 exchange students together on a bus for three days. Should be...interesting.
Day 1 : Istanbul - Konya
Departure from Istanbul Acikhava Tiyatrosu at 19:00 and 19:30 from Fenerbahce Stadium. Drive to Konya.
Day 2 : Konya
Arrival Konya. Visit the Mevlana Museum later.C/in hotel
Day 3 : Konya- Antakya
Departure from Konya to Antakya.
Arrival to Antakya and c/in hotel
Day 4 : Antakya - Gaziantep
Departure from the Hotel early in the morning and visit church of St. Peter and the world famous Mosaic Museum.Drive to Gaziantep later we visit the Archeology Museum whch has Artifacts from Neolothic.Hittite and Roman times and we also have an opurtunity to see the Mosaic from Zeugma of Archilles being sent to the Trojan War. Diner and overnight in Gaziantep
Day 5 : Gaziantep - Urfa
After breakfast drive to Urfa. visiting the Harran Valley which is located 48km south of Urfa, the city was onetime capital of the Crusader Principality of Edessa. Later we visit the Halilrahman Mosque with its ancient pool full of fish. Dinner and overnight in Urfa.
Day 6 : Urfa-Kahta
Early in the drive to Eski Kahta visit Roman Bridge, Arsameia (capital of Commangene) and continue to Mouth Nemrut by minibuses,half hours climbing to the statues of King Antiochus 1 of Commagene situated at 2150m. Afternoon drive to back trip to Kahta,diner and overnight.
Day 7 : Kahta–Ürgüp
After breakfast leaving the Hotell. Drive to cappodacia via KLayseri Diner and overnight in Ürgüp
Day 8 : Ürgüp
Arrival in Cappadocia once heart of the Hittite Empri,famous for its unique landscapes and underground cities as well as towns carved from region’s sof volcanic rock.A full day to explore the moon-like landscape of this ancient area.The unique scenery of Goreme with its carved rock chapels and frescoes dating from 6th Century ,is truly an xperience.Later we visit of Kaymaklı where thousands of early Christians hid from their persecutors in Diner and overnight in Urgup.
Day 9 : Ürgüp – Antalya
Leaving the Hotel early in the morning and drive to Antalya attending Conference at the hotel in Antalya .
